Episode 68: Does god withhold good?

These days, saying God does not withhold good can sound like a hot take. Delays feel like denial, and unanswered desire starts to look like proof that He is holding out.

This episode names that assumption as the oldest lie in Scripture. Amber starts in the garden, then follows the same accusation through Sarah and Hagar, the ten spies, and the golden calf—showing how a distorted picture of God becomes the permission slip for sin, the death of hope, and the making of other gods.

The point is not that God gives everything we want, how we want it. It is that He does not withhold what is good, so if it doesn’t look good yet, God is not done. The goal is to break the lie’s power so you stop settling for a faster substitute. The cross is the proof: if He did not hold back His only Son, you can trust His heart with what He gives, what He delays, and what He withholds.
